Hoi Chan is an illustrator from Hong Kong, currently based in New Orleans. He draws inspiration from his observations of nature and personal emotions. His work intricately weaves elements from the natural world, serving as a means to unravel and dissect the complex emotions that reside within the human mind.

My favourite fun fact to drop into conversation is…
I used to be a beekeeper.
As a kid, I loved to draw…
Dinosaurs and Giraffe, probably because I think a Giraffe is a type of dinosaur too.
My dream project would be…
An animated commercial.
For inspiration, I look to…
Poems, literature and old Chinese artifacts.
I’d describe my style as…
Quiet, abundance and distilled.
A part of my process I won’t compromise on is…
Creating textures for the piece.
