Maria graduated as a type designer, a foundation that continues to inform her illustration practice today. Her work draws on the same principles—an attention to counter forms, the rhythm of Bézier curves, and a pursuit of simplicity and refined shape.

With over a decade of experience as a Brand Designer—both in-house and at agencies—Maria brings strategic thinking and visual clarity to every project. Her work building illustration libraries informs a freelance practice grounded in understanding and answering each client’s needs.

Maria’s illustrations range from minimal to richly detailed. She is constantly exploring new ways to use gradients, spot colours, vector lines, and textured finishes to craft elegant, visually articulate artwork.

Her clients include Uber, Nokia, Discord, Penguin Random House, Walmart, Foster + Partners Industrial Design, The New Yorker, and Bloomberg.
