Introducing Avalon Nuovo to the Jacky Winter roster! ✨
Avalon is an illustrator and artist-animator from Los Angeles who’s made her home in Amsterdam. Her work lives where realism meets dramatic geometry and she likes to solve visual problems with emotional lighting, dynamic lines and shapes, tender atmosphere, and unexpected color.

While we're yet to invent a magical crystal ball here at JWHQ (it's on the list though, right after magical bottomless coffee cup), we've done the next best thing and asked our very up-to-the-minute team (who field thousands of creative briefs a year) for their hot takes on the biggest illustration trends for 2023 — here are their insights!
Each year, we like to make something a bit special for our clients - and this year's gift might be one of our favourites! Featuring artwork from JW talents Jake Foreman, Fuchsia Macaree and Rebecca ter Borg, these custom Nalgene drink bottles are great for taking on hikes, helping with that new year's resolution to drink more water or making your fam jealous (we've already heard reports of bottles getting nicked by significant others). We are proud to announce that we here at JW are joining the ranks of Agents For Change — a collection of agencies in the UK who are committed to amplifying the voices of creatives from typically underrepresented groups, with a goal of increasing diversity across the industry. And this week we’re taking part in their first ever Talent Takeover!
Taking place tomorrow, September 23rd, the takeover sees a range of creative agencies each sharing the work of a selected emerging artist, in order to introduce them to our followers (that’s you!) and showcase their amazing work!
Keep your eyes peeled in our stories tomorrow for the takeover, and make sure to follow @agentsforchange_ on Instagram.
Calling all illustricians! Inspired by our very own @_steph_hughes_ who is a fierce talent both as an illustrator AND a musician — we started to ask ourselves, ‘How many other creatives out there are living (not-so) secret double lives as rock stars?’ — To help answer the question, we’ve created a Spotify playlist of ‘Illustricians’. (Yes, we know it’s a terrible name, but let’s consider it a placeholder for now…)
We’ve only just started to add tracks featuring some of our favourite local and international talents such as
@bjennymontero
@lucyroleff
@robertbeattyart
@owengildersleeve
@christophernielsen
@tychomusic
@aaronlowell
... and more, but we need your help growing it into something bigger!
If you are or know of an illustrator who would qualify, please either DM us here, or read more and fill out the form at jwg.is/djing and we’ll update the playlist as quickly as we can! Please share and repost if you can as well! 🎵
